How do we make ourselves happy?

According to Oxford dictionary, happiness is the emotion of being happy; joy

Happiness, we being happy depends on us, not anyone or external factors. Never relinquish the power of you being happy to anything or anyone else.

Your happiness depends on you but no one else. There are some simple things to do everyday in order to keep yourself happy:

  1. Wake up everyday with gratitude. Be grateful for life, the opportunity for been alive. When there’s life there’s hope. Be grateful for the opportunity for another day to make progress and develop your yourself
  2. Laughter is the best medicine: this is so through. When we were young we laugh as many times as possible unconsciously. But when we grow up we tends to laugh less. The ability to laugh as much as possible as you can is great thing that you have decided to make yourself happy despite all the challenges in life, you decide to be happy rather than bitter.
  3. Make someone smile: the joy you get from making someone smile is a great one. Despite your own challenges you have decided to look after someone’s happiness. You have decided to show the world that i am in charge of my own happiness.
  4. Exercise: exercise regularly at least for 30minute everyday. Exercise is good for your mental wellbeing and entire wellbeing.
  5. Maintain good relationship with family and friends: Family and friends are undoubtedly the backbone of our development and underdevelopment. If i say development, when you have a strong connection and relationship with family and friends whenever you are facing any challenge they are the first point to turn to. And when i say underdevelopment when you don’t have strong connection and relationship with family and friends you may have no one to turn to during hardships that you need someone to be there for you.
  6. Take some time alone: at some point you may be faced with some challenges that you may need to take some time alone to reflect on yor own life.
  7. Do what you love: have the courage to pursue your passions for they will make you happy
  8. Avoid comparing yourself with anyone: social media have gotten the best of us. It makes us believe that we are not enough and someone is better than us. Please avoid that pitfall. Never compromise yourself, you are better the way you are and your are you not anyone else. Keep improving yourself but never compare yourself to anyone else.
  9. Volunteering: participate in act of volunteering willingly by reaching out to the less privileged and vulnerables
